An open second half saw gilt-edged chances created and wasted by both Liverpool and Manchester City as the sides played an entertaining 1-1 draw at the Etihad on Sunday. Sergio Aguero’s equaliser in the 69th minute let Man City stay one point ahead of Liverpool for third place in the Premier League standings. James Milner did take out Raheem Sterling, who was about to finish off David Silva’s low cross, without being punished.
