Kansas back atop AP poll (AP)
Kansas is No. 1 — again. The Jayhawks (29-2), coming off their sixth straight Big 12 regular season title, moved back into the top spot in The Associated Press’ college basketball poll Monday. It is their 14th week at No. 1 this season, more than triple the total of the other three schools who have [...]
Cards top No. 1 Orange in Freedom finale (AP)
A reserve guard that Louisville coach Rick Pitino considers so bashful, he sounds shy even when he yells, made sure to send venerable Freedom Hall out with one more memorable game. Kyle Kuric scored all of his career-high 22 points in the second half, and the Cardinals stunned No. 1 Syracuse 78-68 on Saturday before [...]
Morris hurts head but keys Kansas win (AP)
Chasing a loose ball, Marcus Morris collided with Marcus Denmon and fell backward. His head hit a courtside table with an audible thud, causing a quiet hush to come over the rowdy Missouri fans. Morris lay on the court for several minutes, then gingerly walked to locker room amid respectful applause. He returned to finish [...]
Duke looks for home win over Tar Heels (AP)
Jon Scheyer doesn’t know what it feels like to beat North Carolina on his home court. The Duke senior better figure out how to do it — and soon — or else the fourth-ranked Blue Devils (25-5, 12-3) probably can forget about winning the Atlantic Coast Conference’s regular-season title. Speaking about his 0-3 career record [...]

Xavier wins, keeps share of A-10 lead (AP)
It would have been easy for Xavier to look past Fordham considering the Rams came into Wednesday night’s game on a 19-game losing streak, one of which was a 48-point win by the Musketeers. It wasn’t a huge blowout like the earlier meeting, but No. 25 Xavier beat the Rams 82-56, moving a win closer [...]
Carter scores 18 to lift surging Baylor (AP)
Tweety Carter always seems to come up with what No. 21 Baylor needs. He did it again Tuesday night when the Bears beat Texas Tech 86-68, their sixth win in seven games. “All year long Tweety’s given us what we need,” Bears coach Scott Drew said. “If we needed scoring, he gives us scoring.

Syracuse No. 1 for first time since 1990 (AP)
Syracuse took quite a route to its first No. 1 ranking in 20 years. The Orange weren’t in the preseason Top 25 and, just days after it was released with them in “Others Receiving Votes,” they were beaten by Division II LeMoyne in an exhibition game. But they were back in the poll — at [...]
No. 19 Vols upset No. 2 Kentucky 74-65 (AP)
J.P. Prince and his Tennessee teammates watched No. 2 Kentucky erase a 19-point lead and knew they might also be watching a shot at a second major upset slip away. But, the Vols’ senior leader wouldn’t let that happen. With 90 seconds left, he scored on a broken play and added four clutch free throws [...]
